The traineeship in advanced data analysis using the All of Us Researcher Workbench is an intensive 8–9 month program offered in partnership with the AIM-AHEAD Consortium, the All of Us Research Program, and RTI International. The program is designed to expand the use of artificial intelligence and machine learning (AI/ML) methods in health research leveraging the All of Us dataset. Each year, roughly 25 investigators are selected to participate and gain access to a comprehensive suite of training and support, including the following:
- Foundational coursework in R, Python, and Jupyter Notebook for beginner-level programming and analysis
- Hands-on model development training using All of Us data subsets within the Researcher Workbench
- Technical coaching to strengthen AI/ML methods and research design skills
- Career mentorship to support professional growth and long-term impact in the field
The traineeship culminates with each participant developing and presenting a research abstract and poster at the annual AIM-AHEAD conference, providing an opportunity to showcase their work and engage with a national community of peers and experts.
